High School Career

High School Statistics:   16PPG, 12RPG, 1STL, 1APG, FG 32% and FT 75%.  High School Former Coach Gary Rady's Comments:  3 or 4 spot (Co-Captain).  Solid rebounder, very capable of finishing the play.  Starting to feel comfortable creating shots in the paint.  Runs the floor and likes to play defense.  Difficult to defend because of her ability to shoot from the outside and her ability to play down low.  Excellent floor leader.

*Florida High's earliest player male/female to score 1,000 points in basketball career.  4th all time leading scorer.

AAU/YBOA Career

AAU/YBOA Statistics:  12PPG, 4RPG, 1STL, 1APG, 1BLK, FG 32% and FT 57%.  Coach Mickey Clayton's Comments, mickeyhsd@earthlink.net Can penetrate from the perimeter & knocks her free-throw down.  Can score from perimeter but is not consistent.  Does a little bit of everything, looks to pass first, improving as a rebounder as her strength improves.  Does a good job of anticipating passes and steals while watching the offense, but has to improve on ball defense.  Is the daughter of a college coach, is left handed and knows the game well. Is a warrior and is playing out of position in high school but is a perimeter player.  Has 3 point range but has to become more consistent, Gets to the basket and gives up her body, last year shot 200 more free throws than anyone else in the big bend area  and hit them at 71% clip.  Has 8 double-double games in 11 contests.  Does excellent job of filling lanes on break, must get stronger - has never lifted weights so there is room there for that strength to be developed. Is not physical player thought not intimidated -  she is more of a finesse wing player. Senior year will be enrolled in Physics and Calculus. Has had 3 years of Latin, already. She is mid level D-1 prospect due to size and ability to play the wing.

Additional Comments:  Lightening rod of the team and the leader, looks to take big shot, can hit the 3 (but not as consistent as I would like to see it but has 3 point range).  Myah had 23 point & 12 rebs in quarterfinals of Boo Williams Tournament vs. 6'4, 6'3, 62 inside players.  She scored from perimeter and off dribble.  Myah is awkward getting to basket but gets there as she gives her body up and has tendency not to be focused all the time, defensively.  She knows the game as a coaches daughter and is heady.  She has become a shot blocker but still needs to get stronger.  She will be taking college classes in the fall as she enters her senior campaign.  Myah can get to basket but does not handle the ball well enough to be a big guard but adequate enough for the 3 and will get better.  She lives at free-throw line and can get out of control from time-to-time, trying to lead break and that is not her strength, can create own shot better from corner, wing and top of circle.
